大家都知道托福写作考试分为独立写作和综合写作两个考试部分，而大多数考生的主要问题基本都集中出现在独立写作板块。究其原因，主要是独立写作考试不同于阅读或听力考试，其本质是一道主观题。那么如果想要在独立写作考题上有所突破的话，我们首先需要来看一下独立写作考试的评分标准。只有找准了和标准间的差距，才能对自己作文的薄弱环节进行补足。下面我就分期带着大家来看看独立写作的评分标准到底想要托福考生们达到怎样一个水平。

评分标准第一条

Effectively addresses the topic and task

有效的解决题目和任务

从第一项评分标准中，可以很清晰的看出：要求考生能够准确的判断何为topic，何为task。并且进行有效的理解和破题。

评分标准详解：

A：分清topic和task

Topic--题目

In the modern society, the ability to speak well is more important than the ability to write well.

Task--任务
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Use the specific reason, examples or details to support your answer.

B：Effectively addresses--解题

在明确了topic和task之后，需要考生能够给出明确的主观点，给出自己的选择，成功完成开头段落。（参照第三章详细内容）

E.g：Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
In the modern society, the ability to speak well is more important than the ability to write well.
Use the specific reason, examples or details to support your answer.

题目解析：

Address the topic: For most people, speaking ability is more important than writing ability.

这个分论点成功理解了题目含义，明确的回答了问题，针对题目中所提出的比较题型关键词more important，给出了自己的观点，对比了两种能力，说明认为说的能力比写的能力更重要。成功解题。

Fail to address the topic：Speaking ability plays a vital role in a person’s success.

此分论点仅仅单一给出了说的能力的重要性，未提到写的能力。明显是对题目理解的不够全面，忽视了需要比较这个特点。视为偏题，无缘高分。

综上所述，由于独立作文的本质是议论文的因素，评分标准的第一条是让我们写的作文要有一个明确的中心观点。只有中心观点明确了，文章的主体内容才能围绕着这个中心观点进行展开。读到这里，有的同学就会问了，如何保证自己的文章主旨明确呢？貌似很容易就写成上面给出的错误例子了啊。其实，只要同学们在写作的时候谨记一点就可以避免这个问题，即题目问什么我们写作文的时候就答什么，逻辑上不要给自己设置障碍，这样跑题的问题就不会存在。
